Except for the totally unnecessary inclusion of a bratty neighbor's son in one scene.Otherwise well worth watching for the reasons you describe. egaubinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05538846288584367337noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1279530091641272518.post-42639736526431305362015-10-21T19:24:08.591-04:002015-10-21T19:24:08.591-04:00I don't think that ever been released on home ...I don't think that ever been released on home video, but it does play a few times each year on TCM, thanks to Mickey Rooney. Just as he had done for her? (false confession.) Who played the actual drums? Sounded like Gene Krupa. ( but not quite.) Meant to make us THINK of him? (good abreaction by the way. Perhaps one should take up drums?)
Greetings from Swedish film-freak
(classical musician/musicologist)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1279530091641272518.post-45044485375367593172009-05-25T17:51:01.216-04:002009-05-25T17:51:01.216-04:00Mark -

I've come across some noir gems with Mickey Rooney -- most notably Drive a Crooked Road -- so although I don't expect masterpieces of noir from his film, his films often surprise me by how much I like them.

Very good work... I've been going back through some of your archives, and being a huge noir fan, it's great stuff.Davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07134196370913749544noreply@blogger.com
